Welcome! On behalf of the men of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. - Nu Gamma Sigma Chapter of Belleville, Illinois, I bid you greetings.

I hope that your visit to our site is both pleasurable and informative.

The Brothers of Nu Gamma Sigma Chapter are working to perpetuate the high ideals of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service as proscribed by our Most Honorable Founders, Bro. A. Langston Taylor, Bro. Leonard F. Morse, and Bro. Charles I. Brown.

It is our aim that in every social function and every service project that we exemplify our beloved fraternity's motto "Culture for Service and Service for Humanity".

Bro. Antonio C. Plair
1964-2009

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected homegoing of Nu Gamma Sigma Chapter Charter Member Bro. Antonio C. Plair

Bro. Plair became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. in April of 1984 at Epsilon Xi Chapter (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign). He was from his earliest days, deeply involved and influential in the Fraternity. He served in numerous positions of leadership and always acted as the "concience" of Epsilon Xi Chapter.

Bro. Plair was key in the re-activation of the Epsilon Mu Sigma Alumni Chapter of Champaign, Illinois, continuing in Fraternity's principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service,with an emphasis on programming and social action.

Bro. Antonio Plair was instrumental in the formation of the Nu Gamma Sigma Chapter of Belleville, Illinois. He was a charter member, former 1st Vice President, Secretary, and Immediate Past President of the chapter. He also served as the Graduate Advisor for the Delta Tau Chapter (Southern Illinois University at Carbondale). He was one of the driving forces of the reactivation of the Epsilon Pi Chapter (Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville).

Bro. Antonio "Pops" Plair transitioned to the Omega Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma on 18 Feb 2009.

The Men of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. offer their deepest, heartfelt condolences to the family of Bro. Plair.

He will be sorely missed and NEVER forgotten.
